Five childhood friends who discover the bubble they live in is thinner than it feels from the inside.

They try to keep their reality light hearted and carefree using the most powerful instrument known - the book of faces.

There’s a war coming.

In the meantime Frizzle will discover that she holds some strong political views, Gecko will sink into a virtual reality existence, Windbag and Pigmy will learn that freedom also means loneliness and Spigot, well Spigot’s full of surprises.
