By Hanoch Levin
Alte Bobitchek dies in the middle of a stormy night. Her son - Latchek, goes to inform his relatives of the funeral, but the family is busy with the preparations to the daughter's wedding the next day. They refuse to accept the bitter news that for sure will destroy their merry day.
Will Latchek’s family prefer an old lady’s rainy funeral over the heavily expensed wedding of their daughter? Will Latchek join the celebrations or walk alone after his mother’s coffin?
Joy verses grief. Which of the two forces will overcome the other? Will in certain circumstances the two can co-inside? An existential anxiety leads to a comic hallucination about the true nature of humanity.
